      friends

if we get started, I promise lots of slang....and I'll explain it too...

buddy is an american slang (dialect, kind of...) word.

      a classic:

Hey, buddy...how you doing? (how ARE you doing...but ARE in colloquial english gets cut off)

I promise, even if your english seems to me better than most, already...
I have been to Japan five times, I think..., in my life, but never for long.
Although, using english in Japan is a touchy issue... many people still remember english as the language of the enemy... the american general that proved that the emperor was not divine...1945.
It is okay in hotels, restaurants, and so on... a lot less on the road... unfortunately...

The language is not a real problem for me (I hope ) because I'm also studying Japanese

I hope to go there as soon as possible

this thread is not satisfying the thread starter's expectations.
