I do prefer subs too.

Here in Belgium, all movies are subtitled (even if sometimes it takes half of the screen as the subs are in french AND dutch) I think it's also a question of being used to it.
Italian dubbers (is this the right word?) are considered among the best... So, maybe, in Italy I quite appreciate to watch a movie without missing an image because busy in reading the subtitle, but here, I prefer the subs.
A part from the translation (which is very important) it is also a matter of voices chosen.

It would be great to have subs in Italy too...I think is the better way to approch other languages...

What I have to complain about italian dubbing is that sometimes translation is not that carefully as I would like it, but...

I prefer subs, but I'm also proud of Italian dubbing, because, as Micol said, it's one of the best in the world! Sometimes I even think that a dubbed voice is better than the original one!

Fortunately, now we can buy DVDs with both versions, in Italian and English!

I know that sometimes, in dubbing, the translation is not perfect, but let's take into account the fact that dialogues in movies also have very strict criteria (timing, mouth movement...)
And as Dona Flor said, fortunately we have DVDs now!

Do you think that sounds and music are also dubbed?or... "re-dubbed"(mainting the original but put back again after the dubbing)...?

Dubbed movies, just because I'm lazy...

I Korean friend told me that all non-korean language movies have subtitles and original soundtrack.

Yeah, definitely a matter of gettin' used to it.
